How writers are supported
A five-step system, with each stage tailored to a different need, from developing the writing itself through to publication and online presence.
- 01
Mentorship
One-to-one sessions develop the craft of writing while the material is read and edited as it evolves.
The approach draws on Miluna’s background in literature, writing and publishing, as well as her experience as a psychodynamic psychotherapist.
Each programme is designed around the individual writer.
Mentorship is suitable for writers starting from scratch or seeking support with tone, pacing, characterisation or structure in fiction or non-fiction.
- 02
Editing
Editing is available for manuscripts that have already been written and is particularly suited to writers who prefer to work independently.
Developmental editing, copyediting and proofreading are all available.
Many manuscripts can be prepared to a publishable standard within two to four weeks, depending on their length and the level of work required.
UK, US and Australian English are all supported.
Reference styles include Chicago, Harvard, APA and Vancouver.
- 03
Ghostwriting
Ghostwriting is designed for writers who do not have the time to produce the manuscript themselves.
Miluna works from notes, lectures, interviews, voice recordings or other source material to capture the writer's tone and voice.
A writing sample is provided before any commitment is made.
- 04
Publishing and positioning
The publishing options available within the writer's field are explored at this stage.
Guidance is provided on the route and positioning best suited to the writer's goals.
This may include submission to a literary agent or publisher, hybrid publishing or self-publishing.
- 05
Social media and content
For therapists and authors who want to build a professional online presence without having to create every piece of content themselves.
Support can include positioning, content strategy, planning, short-form scripts, captions, article development and the adaptation of longer-form material for social media.
Existing ideas, notes, podcasts, lectures or voice recordings can be developed into clear, consistent content while retaining the therapist's or author's own voice.
Packages can be tailored to one-off projects or ongoing monthly support.
