Miluna

Valen Editorial Ltd works with authors and publishers across the UK, North America and Australia at every stage of manuscript development.

Before founding the agency, Miluna spent ten years working as a psychodynamic psychotherapist. She also founded and edited a peer-reviewed psychoanalytic journal for three years.

Miluna’s academic background includes a BA in Psychology, an MA in Economics and an MA in Clinical Psychology. She has taught at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa and was awarded a fully funded PhD place in Economics.

Her editorial collaborations include The Oxford Editors and Rowanvale Books in the UK, BookPOD in Australia, and Charles H. Kerr Publishing Company and Chiron Publications in the US. She is a member of the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading.

The 50th issue of On Writing, Miluna’s monthly newsletter exploring writing, psychoanalysis and philosophy, was published in June 2026.

Miluna founded Valen Editorial to bring together her academic background, her years in psychotherapy and psychoanalysis, her experience founding and editing a journal, and her own writing career.
