    Editorial Framework

  • All projects are scoped individually. Before work begins, clients receive a written editorial proposal confirming scope, timetable, editorial approach, and fees.

  • A deposit of 50% of the agreed project fee is required to secure a booking. The remaining balance is payable on delivery, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  • Deposits are non-refundable in the event of cancellation. Where a project is postponed, deposit credit may be transferred to a future booking within three months, subject to availability. After this period, deposit credit may be reduced or forfeited. This reflects the scheduling commitments required to reserve editorial time.

  • Valen Editorial Ltd works to full professional standards on all projects, including priority or accelerated services, which are offered subject to availability and may involve a fee adjustment.

  • To provide an accurate quotation, a short sample extract may be requested. No material is reviewed or assessed without prior agreement.
